Release Blitz + Review: "Doctor Mistake" by J. Saman

Today, I'm delighted to participate in the release blitz celebrating "Doctor Mistake" by J. Saman, book #2 of the Boston's Billionaire Bachelors series. Characters from the previous book (as well as the earlier Edge series) make appearances in this one, but it reads as a standalone.

Dr. Carter Fritz was away from Boston for years while completing college, medical school, and his OB/GYN residency. When he moved back a year ago and saw his younger brother Oliver's best friend, Dr. Grace Hammond, for the first time since they were kids, he couldn't help noticing how funny, smart, and beautiful she was. Unfortunately, she was also completely off-limits, not only because of her friendship with his brother, but also because she was his resident - and she was engaged. Everything changes when Grace learns that her fiance has been cheating on her, so she dumps him and winds up on Carter's doorstep after forgetting that Oliver and his girlfriend, Amelia, recently sold Oliver's old penthouse to Carter and bought a new home together. Carter impulsively offers Grace a place to stay while she gets back on her feet, and despite their bickering at work, they get along well as roommates. As the lines between personal and professional blur and their feelings for each other grow, can they overcome the many obstacles standing in the way of a future together?

The chemistry between Grace and Carter was intense from the start, and that tension just continued to build until the moment they finally gave into their feelings. I loved their bickering and witty banter along the way, though they did a fantastic job of putting it aside and focusing on their patients so that their work together was seamless. Carter was so sweet and supportive while Grace got over the end of her engagement, putting his own feelings aside and asking her to move in with him, helping her get her stuff from her old apartment, and shoring up her confidence whenever she started to blame herself for what had happened. As for Grace, I appreciated how decisive she was in putting an end to things with her fiance. She never doubted her instincts or wavered in her decision, just threw herself into her work and moving forward.

Overall, "Doctor Mistake" was even better than the first book in this series, and I highly recommend it for all contemporary romance fans. I am so excited for the rest of the Fritz brothers' stories!

About "Doctor Mistake"

He's my best friend's older brother. My boss. And now my new roommate...

In the hospital, death always comes in threes. Apparently, so do mistakes. Mistake number one? My fiancé, who I just learned is cheating on me. So much for being the strong, in control doctor who's always on top of her game...
Mistake number two? Knocking on the wrong door.
The door I thought still belonged to my best friend now belongs to his older brother, my obnoxious, overly cocky, gorgeous-as-sin attending physician, Carter Fritz.
The billionaire playboy gives me a place to stay, and a shoulder to cry on. But when he makes me feel seen for the first time in I don't even know how long, I tell myself I don't regret what was easily the hottest, most earth-shattering night of my life.
That is until mistake number three comes along...and I'm staring down at a stick with two pink lines.
Having a baby at this stage of my residency could cost me everything I've worked so hard to build.
But Carter? He's undeterred. He doesn't just want more; he wants it ALL.
Including me.
But what happens if following my heart turns out to be my biggest mistake of all?
