Release Blitz + Review: "Only One Mistake" by Natasha Madison

I'm pleased to join the release/review blitz promoting "Only One Mistake" by Natasha Madison, book #6 of the Only One series. Characters from previous books in the series (as well as Madison's earlier Something So series) play supporting roles in this one, but it reads as a standalone.

After a public feud with the head coach of his former team, professional hockey player Michael Horton has just been traded to Dallas. He's trying to keep a low profile while out for dinner on his first night in town when kindergarten teacher Jillian Williams mistakes him for her blind date. He offers to buy her a drink when her date fails to appear, and after he drives her home, one thing leads to another. They exchange phone numbers, but not last names, when Michael leaves the following morning. Even though he makes it clear that he wants Jillian to call him, she never does. Five months later, he's picking up his cousin Cooper's daughters Mia and Emma from school because of a family emergency when he unexpectedly sees Jillian again. She's Mia's teacher - and five months pregnant with Michael's baby. When he confronts her, he's confused to learn that she's angry with him for blowing her off and wants nothing to do with him. Determined to prove that it was all a misunderstanding, Michael sets out to convince Jillian that she can trust him to be there for both her and their baby.

The chemistry between Jillian and Michael was absolutely insane, and so was the steam. I thought my Kindle might spontaneously combust during a few of their intimate scenes! That said, they were also super cute together, and there were some surprisingly funny (but still really touching) parts of the story once Michael's parents and Uncle Matthew got involved. The way Michael and his family immediately embraced and cared for Jillian was really sweet.

Overall, "Only One Mistake" was a relatively quick read featuring endearing characters, plenty of steam, fun with the extended Only One/Something So hockey family, and low/no drama (which I always appreciate). I highly recommend it for fans of steamy contemporary and sports romance and look forward to continuing the series.

About "Only One Mistake"

A one-night stand gone wrong?

Michael
Being traded after fighting with your coach on air isn’t exactly a good look.
With one mistake under my belt, I knew I needed to focus on the game and nothing else.
But everything changed when I went to pick up my niece and came face-to-face with my very pregnant one-night stand from six months ago.

Jillian
Two pink lines changed all my plans.
So did the guy I had a one-night stand with, a man who made me laugh and smile, a guy who I called to share my unexpected news with, only to find out his number was no longer in service.
Once more letdown by the opposite sex, I figured I was doing this on my own.
Then one day, I was staring into the eyes of the man I hated, the father of my baby.
