The opening chapter of "The Breakup Bucket List" was particularly entertaining because it felt a bit like a spy caper to me. Female lead character Lindsay acted like she was on a secret
mission with the way she was sneaking around, and it was obvious that she was doing something she wasn't supposed to do. However, breaking the rules led to an awesome meet-cute with the male lead, Evan, and set up a delightful, if quick, romance.
I was impressed at the amount of character development that was packed into such a short (novella-length) story, as well as the fact that the relationship between Evan and Lindsay never felt like insta-lust or insta-love. Lindsay and Evan were both quite likeable and relatable, and I enjoyed their witty banter as they explored the city together and got to know each other. It was clear that they were attracted to each other from the start, but I could also tell that they genuinely liked each other and had fun spending time together.
Overall, I very much enjoyed "The Breakup Bucket List" and highly recommend it for all fans of contemporary romance and romantic comedy. I look forward to the next book in this series.
