Release Blitz + Review: "One Click Love" by T. Gephart

Congratulations to author T. Gephart on today's release of her latest novel, "One Click Love," book #2 in the Hot in the City series. I have a copy of book #1 but haven't had a chance to read it yet; fortunately for me, "One Click Love" reads as a complete standalone, and I was able to follow along with the characters and events without feeling lost at any point.

My favorite thing about this story was that the protagonists, Hayden and Mack, were both mature adults in their 40s. The fact that they actually had some life experience made it very easy for me to relate to them. I particularly sympathized with Hayden because of the insecurities she developed about her physical appearance after her divorce. Mack didn't see any of those supposed imperfections, however, and I loved that he told her how beautiful he thought she was from the first time they met. I also loved that Mack was the one who pushed to build their relationship into something more than just a one-night stand. After so many years with her inattentive jerk of an ex-husband, what Hayden needed more than anything else was someone who could see how special she was and wasn't afraid to shout it from the rooftops. Mack treated Hayden like a queen, which was nothing less than she deserved.

Hayden and Mack's romance blossomed somewhat more rapidly than I expected given Hayden's initial concerns about dating someone seriously so soon after her divorce, but the pace worked for them, and I had no trouble believing in the depth of their feelings for each other. That said, I had to laugh because even though Mack told Hayden multiple times that he was OK with taking things slowly, he was already worried about having to spend a night away from her after only their second or third date. I think they defined the relationship about that same time. At any rate, I think Mack's definition of "taking things slowly" and mine must be pretty different because unofficially moving in together after only three dates seems pretty fast to me!

Overall, I very much enjoyed "One Click Love" and would recommend it for all fans of contemporary romance. I will certainly be reading more books in this series.

About "One Click Love"

Want a man who is not only hot but knows how to handle a blaze?
Well ladies, it’s your lucky day.

John “Mack” McPherson is 6’3” of fine with a six-pack that makes men half his age question their gym regimen. Teddy-bear brown eyes with brown hair, his graying temples let you flirt with just enough silver fox so you know you’ve got yourself a real man. But don’t let the body and face fool you, he’s incredibly smart, with medals for days and won’t think twice about putting his own life on the line to save someone else.

Brave, dependable, and needing someone equally awesome, Mack is ready to be snapped up by a feisty female who isn’t scared to play with fire.

John,

Not sure how feisty I am now, but I’m fighting my way back. Little scares me though, and I’m not someone who breaks easily. Not interested in playing mind games, so if your idea of a good time is heading to a club where we pretend to be into the scene, then it’s probably for the best we don’t meet. I expect honesty and a half-way decent orgasm I don’t have to give myself. Other than that, open to negotiation.

Let me know if you’re game,
Hayden
