I'm excited to participate in today's release blitz celebrating "Adventurous Love" by Lea Coll, book #2 of the Mountain Haven series. Characters from the previous book of the series make return appearances in this one, but it reads as a complete standalone.
Kelsey Turner lost touch with her childhood friend Elle when Elle signed on to star in a reality TV series, but they reconnected after Elle quit the show and moved to Telluride, Colorado. Now engaged and expecting her first child, Elle asks Kelsey to be her maid of honor and invites her to Telluride to help her prepare for the wedding. When she arrives in Colorado, Kelsey learns that she will be working closely with the best man, Henry Rigby, who owns the
lodge where the wedding will take place. Henry has also agreed to show Kelsey around town since Elle's pregnancy means that she is unable to go skiing
or participate in many other outdoor activities. Henry and Kelsey are attracted to each other at first sight, but know that getting involved would be a bad idea because of their mutual friends. Still, the more time they spend together, the more difficult it is to resist giving into their feelings.
Both Henry and Kelsey had a lot of baggage from the past that they needed to work through, but I really liked them as a couple and thought they brought out the best in each other. Henry helped Kelsey rediscover her adventurous side and also made her feel seen, safe, and supported. In return, Kelsey helped Henry remember who he was and the dreams he used to have before his ex-girlfriend broke his heart.
Overall, "Adventurous Love" was a fast-paced, sometimes emotional, but ultimately satisfying read. I enjoyed and would recommend this book for all fans of emotional contemporary romance. I look forward to reading Henry's sister Piper's story next.

About "Adventurous Love"
An all new small town romance by author Lea Coll, set in her Mountain Haven Series
Kelsey
I don't do small town, country living. The hustle and bustle of New York pumps through my veins. Still, when a dear friend invited me to stand up in her wedding, I decided to embrace all Colorado had to offer. I was expecting mountainous terrain and outdoor adventures. Instead, I found myself face to face with the ruggedly handsome Henry Rigby—a lumberjack fantasy come to life. It was supposed to be a short trip. Yet the time we spent together made New York seem farther and farther away...
Henry
As best man, I promised the groom I would show Kelsey a good time. I considered her one of my groomsmen responsibilities... until I saw her. Far from the high-maintenance New Yorker I expected, she was working that alluring girl next door look. Still, I had sworn off commitment and she had major trust issues. Feelings shouldn't have factored into our time together. But, the vulnerability beneath her steadfast independence called to me. And, for the first time in a long time, I found myself regretting I couldn't offer her the commitment she deserved.
