Blog Tour + Review: "Sealed with a Kiss" by Erin Nicholas

Today, I'm delighted to take part in the blog tour celebrating the release of "Sealed with a Kiss" by Erin Nicholas, book #4 of the Boys of the Bayou Gone Wild series. It reads as a complete standalone, though characters from the last three books as well as the earlier Boys of the Bayou series make return appearances here.

Wildlife rescue and rehabilitation expert Donovan Foster came to the small town of Autre, Louisiana to visit his brother Griffin and help with the launch of the Boys of the Bayou Gone Wild animal park. Not known for staying in one place for long, Donovan is surprised to find himself still in Autre seven months later. He's not sure what it is about this place that's keeping him here, but he suspects it has something to do with his secret attraction to the beautiful Naomi LeClaire. Former child star Naomi has had a celebrity crush on Donovan ever since he starred in his own reality show, but as she's gotten to know him, her feelings for him have only grown stronger. He's not at all the type of person she thought she'd fall for, and his tendency to act without considering his own safety frustrates and concerns her. When they're trapped together during a hurricane, their feelings for each other are revealed, but the timing is all wrong with Donovan considering a job offer in the Galapagos Islands. Things grow even more complicated when video of them kissing goes viral and they're forced to fake a romance for the cameras. Can they figure out a way to make their relationship work for real, or will playing pretend only lead to heartbreak for them both?

There's a lot to love about this book, but the best part for me was that Donovan and Naomi actually communicated. They didn't keep secrets from each other or bottle up their feelings until they exploded, causing unnecessary drama and angst. It was honestly refreshing to read about a couple that acted so maturely! Beyond that, I really enjoyed the brief crossover with the Hot Cakes series. Watching the Landry boys fangirl over Dax and Oliver because of the Warriors of Easton game was hilarious.

I don't know how this series keeps getting better, but it does. I highly recommend "Sealed with a Kiss" for all contemporary romance and romantic comedy fans and can't wait to find out what happens in the next book of the series.

About "Sealed with a Kiss"

What’s a girl to do when her celebrity crush needs her to be his fake girlfriend?

Keep her damned feelings to herself, of course.

Child TV star turned adult wallflower Naomi LeClaire has vowed never to return to the spotlight.

But when she’s stuck in a storm with Donovan Foster, the hot, charming, wild-life rescuing internet sensation, and she finally gives in and kisses him...and a few articles of clothing end up on the floor...suddenly her simple, quiet life is tossed upside down.

Especially after the paparazzi catches a heat-of-the-moment kiss. Now everyone assumes she's his girlfriend and, when she realizes that’s the best way to keep Donovan out of trouble, Naomi agrees to play along. Even though it puts her center stage with her private life in very public view. Again.

They’re a whirlwind of opposites-attract chemistry the fans love, but they'll surely blow over faster than a Gulf Coast hurricane. As long as they can keep straight what's real and what's just a once-in-a-lifetime fantasy.
