Release Blitz + Review: "How to Save a Life" by P. Dangelico

Today, I am very excited to celebrate P. Dangelico's latest standalone release, "How to Save a Life."

I'm not entirely sure what I was expecting when I picked up this book, but P. Dangelico completely blew me away with "How to Save a Life." It wasn't always the easiest of reads because main characters Jordan and Riley had both suffered more than their fair share of heartache and trauma, but it was absolutely a page-turner. I read the whole thing in one sitting because I couldn't stand to put it down until all of the secrets had been revealed and I knew that the two of them would manage to find some happiness together.

Riley and Jordan were both endearing, sympathetic characters, and despite their vastly different backgrounds and upbringings, it was easy to understand why they were drawn to each other. Riley was a hard worker, trying to get a home repair business off the ground while also working as a waitress to make ends meet for herself and her mother. I loved how tough she was and that she always stood up to Jordan even when he was at his most demanding. He was often ridiculously overprotective of his goddaughter Maisie, but he had good reasons for his fears, and it was obvious how much he loved her.

There were a lot of serious, emotional moments in this story, but there were also surprisingly humorous ones, such as when Riley met several nannies in the park and learned of their plans to rebel by refusing to change diapers. I also enjoyed the nicknames Riley came up with for Jordan, including Depressed Bruce Wayne and Grim Reaper (Grim for short). She could be quite snarky at times, and her banter with Jordan was pretty funny.

Overall, "How to Save a Life" was a refreshingly different, heartwarming story, and I highly recommend it for all fans of emotional contemporary romance. I look forward to whatever P. Dangelico writes next!
