Release Blitz + Review: "Made for Romeo" by Natasha Madison

Congratulations to Natasha Madison on the release of "Made for Romeo," book #4 of the Made For series.

I have read and enjoyed many of Madison's previous books, but unfortunately, I wasn't able to finish this one. I probably wouldn't have picked it up at all if I had known in advance that the story involved cheating. Specifically, the male protagonist, actor Romeo Beckett, cheated on photographer Gabriella Stone eight months ago, leading to their breakup. The story begins with him tracking her down in Dallas in an effort to win her back.

Under most circumstances, cheating is an automatic DNF for me. However, Madison wrote one of the very few cheating books I actually liked ("Only One Night," part of the Only One series), so I wanted to at least give this one a chance. I made it to 54% before calling it quits. There are a number of reasons I gave up, but the main ones were that Romeo didn't have a good explanation for his cheating (he picked up a random stranger to win a bet with a friend) and he didn't grovel enough before Gabriella agreed to give him a second chance.

While this story didn't work for me, it may appeal to fans of the second chance trope who are more forgiving of cheating than I am. I'll be a bit more cautious about reading synopses (and checking spoilers) beforehand, but I plan to continue reading Madison's future works.

Gabriella Stone
Moving to LA was my dream since I was thirteen.
By the time I was twenty, I was sought out by some of the most beautiful people in the world to take their pictures.
No one cared that I came from a hockey dynasty.
Everything was perfect.
Then I met him.
It was supposed to be a one-time thing.
But it ended up being more. So much more.
Until he betrayed me.

Romeo Beckett
Growing up in LA, everyone knew I came from Hollywood royalty.
Following in my father's legendary footsteps, I learned early on not to fall for the shallow shine of this city.
When I met her, I didn't know she was what I'd been looking for.
In one night, I ruined everything.
She left without a second thought.
I've spent every day since becoming the man she deserves.
She thinks it's over.
She's wrong.
It's time to win her back.
