Release Blitz + Review: "Heartbeat" by Georgia Coffman

I am very excited to take part in today's release blitz promoting Georgia Coffman's "Heartbeat," part of author K. Bromberg's Everyday Heroes World. It reads as a total standalone, although I enjoyed it so much that I've been inspired to pick up the K. Bromberg books on which it is based as well as Georgia Coffman's backlist.

"Heartbeat" featured a well-crafted friends-to-lovers romance between main characters Clara and Dax, whose compelling story kept me turning the pages long past my bedtime. Dax and Clara faced more than their fair share of heartbreak on the way to their HEA, but their witty banter provided plenty of lighter moments. Ultimately, I found theirs to be a hopeful story; they proved that there can still be life after loss, and the future looks bright for Dax and Clara as a family with her son, Jacob.

I loved the book's secondary characters just as much as Dax and Clara themselves. I particularly enjoyed Clara's son Jacob and the sweet relationship he developed with Dax, as well as Dax's sister Willow and her husband, Zach. They were an adorable couple and obviously very much in love. Clara's neighbor Sienna was a lot of fun too; she was such a fish out of water, and I had to laugh every time she referred to Jacob as the "tiny human." Finally, Dax's friends Brooks and Staci were awesome, and I look forward to reading their story soon.

Overall, I loved "Heartbeat" and highly recommend it for all fans of emotional contemporary romance. I can't wait to find out what Georgia Coffman writes next, as well as what else the Everyday Heroes World has to offer!

About "Heartbeat"

We kissed once.

In high school, I kissed my best friend Clara. I was prepared to confess my love for her and make her mine, but a sudden tragedy derailed my whole life.

After that, I went back to being her friend Dax—nothing more, nothing less.

When she married someone else, I thought I’d lost my chance forever. I threw myself into my work as a cardiologist. It kept me so busy I could barely think of anything outside the sterile walls of the clinic. My patients were all I needed… or so I thought.

After the devastating loss of her husband, Clara and her son move back to this small town. The more time we spend together, the more I realize how empty my life is.

Every day with them, the hammering hope in my chest grows stronger. I begin to think Clara will finally see me the way I’ve always seen her.

My heart has always beat for Clara. When she learns the truth about my feelings, will her healing heart beat for me too?
