Release Blitz + Review: "Don't Cry Over Spilled MILF" by Willow Aster and Laura Pavlov

I'm delighted to take part in the release blitz celebrating "Don't Cry Over Spilled MILF" by authors Willow Aster and Laura Pavlov, book #4 of the G.D. Taylors series. It works well as a standalone, though characters from the previous books in the series also make appearances in this one.

"Don't Cry Over Spilled MILF" featured the middle Taylor sibling, Gus, and Susannah Brighton, the beautiful romance writer and single mother who moved into the apartment next door with her precocious 5-year-old daughter, Olive. Gus was a bit of a player and definitely a flirt, but women seemed to flock to him, and he was quite happy with his life as a bachelor when the story began. Susannah presented a challenge because she was seemingly immune to his charms, but Gus had a plan to win her over: he read the books she wrote and modeled his behavior on the heroes, figuring that their characteristics were what Susannah found most attractive in a man. The results were absolutely hilarious, especially when his brothers' girlfriends/wives tried to coach him!

Susannah had been through a lot before she met Gus, but she was a great mom and I admired how hard she worked to build a life for herself and Olive. I loved that Gus was so sweet and patient with her while she worked to overcome her fears about dating again. When Gus fell in love, he fell HARD, and it made me see him in a completely different light. He was still funny and silly at times, but he was also incredibly loving and protective of "his girls." His relationship with Olive was a highlight of the book for me. I particularly enjoyed their banter about Olive's name; Gus kept trying to give her a nickname and she was not having it!

Overall, "Don't Cry Over Spilled MILF" gave me all the feels and I absolutely adored it. I can't recommend it highly enough for fans of contemporary romance and romantic comedy. It was my favorite book of the series so far and definitely one of my top reads of 2021. I can't wait to find out what happens in the next book of the series!

About "Don't Cry Over Spilled MILF"

A hot, sexy playboy and a gorgeous single mother who wants nothing to do with him. Buckle up, Susannah Brighton. Gus is coming for you. No pun intended.

Susannah
I make my living writing romance.
I prefer my heroes to remain fictional.
But Gus Taylor is better than anything I could have dreamed up.
Sexy and funny and dauntingly handsome.
My little girl and I have been on our own for a long time and that’s the way I want to keep it.
But Gus Taylor makes me question everything I believe.

Gus
I’m a good-time guy.
I’ve always worn the title with pride.
But from the moment Susannah Brighton moves next door, I’m a goner.
And she’s got a little girl.
In the beginning, I think she’s just a mom I’d like to—forget about it.
All that’s changed now that I know Susannah and her angelic daughter.
I’ll do whatever it takes to win her over.
Because when you know, you know.
And I plan on writing myself into her happily ever after.
