Release Blitz + Review: "An Irresistible Chance" by Kim Loraine

I'm happy to take part in the release blitz celebrating "An Irresistible Chance" by Kim Loraine, book #1 of the Irresistible Langstons series. It's set in Loraine's Sunrise, Montana world and includes cameos by characters from other series, but reads as a standalone.

In need of a fresh start after breaking up with her cheating ex-boyfriend/boss, Daisy Capshaw moves to Sunrise, Montana to be near her best friend, Lark Ryker. Lark's husband, Travis, helps Daisy find a job as a nanny for his friend, fellow rancher Hawk Langston, who's raising his 4-year-old daughter Carly on his own. Hawk's ex-wife left them two years ago and recently cut off contact with Carly completely. The little girl hasn't adjusted well - in fact, she just got kicked out of preschool - and Hawk is at his wits' end. He needs help and hopes that Daisy will be the answer to all of his and Carly's problems. Surprisingly, it turns out that Daisy and Hawk have already met; a few weeks earlier, they shared a hotel elevator while Hawk was attending a conference and Daisy had stopped for the night on her drive from California to Montana. The elevator got stuck and they shared a kiss while waiting for it to be fixed. The attraction between them is as strong as it was the night they met, but after the way things ended with her ex, Daisy is scared to risk getting involved with her boss again. Can Hawk convince her to give him a chance?

Generally speaking, I'm not really a fan of cowboy romances, but there's something about Kim Loraine's sweet and seductive cowboys that gets me every single time. Hawk was no exception to that rule. He was so deliciously flirty but at the same time managed to be both incredibly hard-working and a loving, protective dad. Just as the book's title implies, the combination truly was irresistible! As for Daisy, I empathized with her because of everything she went through with her ex, as well as growing up with parents who don't seem to have been very loving or supportive. I loved the way her relationships with both Hawk and Carly grew as they came together as a family.

Overall, I very much enjoyed "An Irresistible Chance" and highly recommend it for all contemporary romance fans. I look forward to whatever Loraine writes next.

About "An Irresistible Chance"

A sexy, single-dad romance standalone.

Don't sleep with the nanny.

That should be a simple rule to follow, but some things are easier said than done.
Especially when the nanny I hire to take care of my wild child daughter turns out to be the one I can't forget.

The woman I shared a red-hot anonymous kiss with a few weeks ago when we were trapped in an elevator? Yeah, seems she's one and the same—sweet, sexy, irresistible Daisy.
When she shows up in town, fresh-faced and ready to care for my kid, it hits me like a kick from a stubborn mare. I'm in way over my head.

I've been fantasizing about seeing my elevator woman again. And now I'm seeing her every damn day at the breakfast table, or at the playground with my adorable daughter.
Daisy is exactly what my little girl needs.

But every day I spend with Daisy makes me want her more, only I can't have her.

I won't risk breaking the unbreakable rule to take a chance at love.

Until the night I do.
