In need of a fresh start after breaking up with her cheating ex-boyfriend/boss, Daisy Capshaw moves to Sunrise, Montana to be near her best friend, Lark Ryker. Lark's husband, Travis, helps Daisy find a job as a nanny for his friend, fellow rancher Hawk Langston, who's raising his 4-year-old daughter Carly on his own. Hawk's ex-wife left them two years ago and recently cut off contact with Carly completely. The little girl hasn't adjusted well - in fact, she just got kicked out of preschool - and Hawk is at his wits' end. Generally speaking, I'm not really a fan of cowboy romances, but there's something about Kim Loraine's sweet and seductive cowboys that gets me every single time. Hawk was no exception to that rule. He was so deliciously flirty but at the same time managed to be both incredibly hard-working and a loving, protective dad. Just as the book's title implies, the combination truly was irresistible! As for Daisy, I empathized with her because of everything she went through with her ex, as well as growing up with parents who don't seem to have been very loving or supportive. I loved the way her relationships with both Hawk and Carly grew as they came together as a family.

Overall, I very much enjoyed "An Irresistible Chance" and highly recommend it for all contemporary romance fans. I look forward to whatever Loraine writes next.
