Release Blitz + Review: "Very Merry Married" by M. O'Keefe

On Monday, I introduced the Kringle Family Christmas series by S. Doyle, M. O'Keefe, and Julie Kriss, a follow up to 2020's Kane Christmas series. Today, I'm excited to feature the second book of this year's trilogy, "Very Merry Married" by M. O'Keefe.

Last December, Ethan Kringle was in Las Vegas on business when he met showgirl Lexie Platzski, or rather her dog, Baby Girl, who'd gotten away from her. To thank him for returning Baby Girl safely (and apologize for her biting him), Lexie offered to take Ethan out and show him the Vegas tourists never see. One tequila-soaked night later, Ethan woke up in Lexie's bed, terribly hungover and with no memories of anything they'd done. On the verge of missing his flight home, he left the still-sleeping Lexie a note and headed off to the airport, never expecting to see her again. A year later, Ethan was shocked to find Lexie standing in front of him at his father's inn in Salt Springs, Colorado, ready to present him with divorce papers. Unable to ignore the spark between them as well as the skillful way she stepped in to help manage a customer service crisis, Ethan convinced Lexie to stay and work at the inn's front desk until Christmas, hoping to prove during that time that their accidental marriage could turn into something real.

I loved Ethan and Lexie together! Not only did they have fantastic chemistry, her fun-loving personality was exactly what he needed to realize that there was more to life than work. I understood why Lexie was afraid of getting hurt after what she witnessed of her mother's relationships while she was growing up, but Ethan was so sweet and patient with her, determined to prove that his love for her was real. I also loved how great Lexie was with the guests at the Kringle Inn, especially the kids. Her job was only supposed to be temporary, but she took it very seriously, even researching all of the local restaurants personally so she would know what to recommend. Lexie was so much more than just a stereotypical "Vegas showgirl," and I hope that Ethan's neighbors in Salt Springs will be able to see that too. She'd be a fantastic mayor's wife (or even mayor herself!).

Overall, I loved "Very Merry Married" even more than the first book in the series and highly recommend it for all fans of contemporary/small town romance and romantic comedy. I look forward to finding out what happens in Ethan's brother Matt's story to wrap up the trilogy.

About "Very Merry Married"

ETHAN
I've got my hands full.

Running for mayor of my home town in Colorado. Trying to save the family business—and doing my damnedest to survive Christmas without murdering my brother. Nowhere on this list is room for Lexie to show up a year after our epic one-night stand.

Vegas show girl, owner of the meanest dog I've ever met, and the star of every fantasy I've had since I came home. And apparently... my wife? And she wants me to sign divorce papers.

Hell no.

LEXIE
I do not get drunk married. That's what tourists do in Vegas, not locals. But even I am susceptible to gorgeous eyes and an excellent jaw line.

I was so sure Ethan was different from the jerks I usually fall for, until I woke up married without a groom or a way to get a hold of him. A year later, I finally see him splashed all over the internet—fighting with his brother at a Colorado airport.

So, what's a showgirl to do? Put on my best heels, put my dog in a hand bag and go find my husband so I can end my sham marriage. But as soon as I arrive in Salt Springs, that plan goes out the window.

Ethan hasn't forgotten me and the chemistry between us is real and explosive.

Now that I've found him he doesn't want to let me go.

Was our wedding a Vegas mistake? Or a Christmas miracle?
