I'm happy to participate in the release blitz celebrating "Perfectly You" by Claudia Burgoa, book #2 of the Luna Harbor series. Luna Harbor is a spinoff of the Baker's Creek Billionaire Brothers series and features cameo appearances from a number of familiar characters, but each book reads as a standalone.
Emergency room doctor Nathalie Brennan has been fed up with her job and the impossible task of living up to her family's high expectations for some time, but when she comes home to find her boyfriend, the son of her mother's best friend, cheating on her with her roommate, it's the straw that broke the camel's back. On a whim, she decides to move across the country to the small town of Luna Harbor and take over the family medical practice that once belonged to her grandfather. Nathalie arrives to find that the apartment she was promised isn't really an apartment at all; it doesn't have a kitchen or a bathroom, and her nearest neighbor is a combination coffee shop/bar/music venue that keeps her up all night. She's surprised to learn that the venue is owned and operated by the band Too Far from Grace, whose keyboard player, Fisher "Fish" Hannigan, immediately takes an interest in Nathalie. Fish and the band are on currently on hiatus, and they're using the time to revitalize Luna Harbor, drummer Manelik's hometown. Fish was excited about the project at first, but now that he's been stuck with the day-to-day of running the coffee shop for a few months, he's ready for a new challenge. He thinks Nathalie just might be that challenge...until an old flame drops a newborn baby off on his doorstep.
"Perfectly You" was classic Claudia Burgoa goodness: a funny, sweet story featuring endearing characters and just the right touches of angst and steam. I didn't think it was possible for me to like any of the other members of Too Far from Grace as much as I liked Beacon, but Fish definitely gave him a run for his money. I loved all of the pranks Fish played on his band mates, as well as the way he delighted in teasing and flirting with Nathalie to get her to pay attention to him. In return, she treated him just like a normal guy, and had no interest in his money or fame. They weren't a traditional match, but they were super cute together, and I loved cheering them on to their HEA.
I highly recommend "Perfectly You" for all fans of contemporary romance and romantic comedy. I look forward to whatever Claudia Burgoa comes up with next!

I need a massive break.
So long to my cheating boyfriend and betraying roommate.
Goodbye hectic emergency room and long hours.
When I get an opportunity to take over my grandfather’s medical practice in Luna Harbor I happily accept the chance to try on a new life that holds sweet memories.
But I can barely think about anything at all when the new coffee shop/bar next to my practice always seems to be having an impromptu concert.
Who sets up a coffee and a bar in the same location as a music venue?
Fisher Hannigan, Head Man Child (ok, keyboardist) of the band Too Far From Grace, that’s who.
He’s also the man who can't stop flirting with me every time we meet. He’s having the time of his life, while I’m trying to run a quiet, unsuccessful medical practice.
Even though he infuriates me, our chemistry is off the charts and I can’t say I haven’t thought about giving him a full physical exam.
Until a baby changes everything.
